Ancestral Communication Ritual

Taking time to connect with your ancestors is one of the most potent practices to amplify your connection to your bloodline and the space and time to which you chose to incarnate into. You are an answer to your ancestors' prayers. The more we connect to them in service and in reverence the more support we will have. 

Contacting Ancestors is like revisiting a long-lost friend, the excitement and celebration to co-create and to learn from one another is potent. The more you connect the stronger the bridge is to create a harmonious future.

For our ancestors paved the way for the New Earth, we are the seeds living out their prayers.

Note: this is a potent ritual for connecting with both our ancestors of the Earth and the Stars

Materials Needed:

all optional tune into your intuition

1. A quiet, peaceful space

2. Take time to set up your altar, inspiration found here.

3. Candles

4. An offering for your ancestors (e.g., water, food, flowers, tobacco, or liquor)

5. Ancestor or spirit guide images or symbols (e.g., photographs, heirlooms)

6. A divination tool of your choice (tarot cards, oracle cards, runes, pendulum, crystal or mirror for scrying)

7. Incense (Frankincense, Myrrh, Copal, Cedar)

8. Salt to cast a circle.

9. A notebook or journal and pen

10. A glass or bowl of water (as a conduit for spiritual energy)

Before you start, drop into meditation and connect to your sovereign vibration. Breathe into the heart expanding and infusing the space with unconditional love. Connect to your spirit guides of the most high to anchor into the space. 

Here are some powerful frequencies to play as you create your portal.

1. Set the Space: Clean and tidy the space where you'll be conducting the ritual. Physical cleanliness can help ensure spiritual clarity.

2. If you can: make a fire within your home. This is a way to honor how all our ancestors used to gather around the fire. 

3. Casting a Circle (optional): If you're accustomed to casting circles, do so. You can use salt, crystals chips, protective herbs, or visualizing light, drawing it around your space to create a barrier, keeping your space potent and pure.  As you cast your circle state - "may this space be pure, holy and of the highest"

4. Setting the Altar: Place your candle in the center of your space or altar. Surround it with the offering, images, or symbols of your ancestors. If using, place your divination tool on the altar as well.

5. Setting the Intention: Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and set a clear and heartfelt intention to connect with your ancestors. It can be something like,

"Ancestors of blood and spirit with the clearest intentions to assist in individual and collective ascension, I call on you with respect and love. Please guide me and share your wisdom."

6. Lighting the Incense and Candle: As you light them, envision the smoke and flame carrying your intentions upwards and forming a bridge between you and the ancestral realm. Lighting the candle sends the beacon and call to connect. 

7. Meditation: Connect to the subtle energy fields, feel into the energy within your room and around the altar. See how it's shifting. 

8. Offering: Present your offering, explaining its significance if you wish. For instance,

• "I offer this water as a symbol of life and connection, bridging the gap between the physical and spiritual."

• or "Here grandma, have some tea with me, I made your favorite!" 

Have fun with it, and laugh with your ancestors, for the best wisdom and stories come from our ancestors when we in the frequency field of celebration. 

9. Divination:

• Begin by taking a few deep breaths and centering yourself.

• Hold your chosen divination tool and ask your ancestors to guide you through it.

• Pose a question or simply ask for general guidance.

• Use your favorite divination tool as you've learned or as feels intuitive to you.

  •  If you're using tarot cards, shuffle and draw cards while thinking of your ancestors.

  • If you use a pendulum, as yes and no questions. 

  • If you candle gaze, see what messages come through.  For more guidance on this click here 

  • If you scry, gaze into your crystals or mirrors, visualize the veil thinning and truth being revealed. Allow the images to come through. 

  • FOR ADVANCED SHADOW WORK PRACTIONERS: If it is in your highest excitement & your third eye is activated, ask your ancestors to show you that which you are ready to see and integrate. Be very clear of what you wish to see, and take note of your vibration when you ask this question. Stay neutral and clear. Ancestors may show you shadows that need to be released so that the New Earth can really take place. Only practice this if you're ready to integrate the ancestral shadow. Note: we must look here if we truly wish to evolve collectively. You are strong enough to transmute, transform and rise as a New Earth Leader.

10. Recording Messages:  Spend some time reflecting on the insights and messages you receive. Use your notebook or journal to jot down impressions, messages, or interpretations from the divination. This will help you remember and reflect upon them later.

11. Closing the Connection: Thank your ancestors for their wisdom and guidance. Ask them to return to their realm. Say something like, "Thank you, dear ancestors, for your guidance and presence. I now ask you to return to your realm, leaving peace, love and balance here."

12. Closing the Ritual: Extinguish the candle and incense. If you cast a circle, now is the time to close it, usually by walking in the opposite direction you used to cast it and visualizing the energy dissipating.

13. Integration: Spend some time in the days following the ritual reflecting on the messages and insights you've received. Contemplate on ways you might incorporate this ancestral wisdom into your daily life. Feel your ancestors celebrating you, lifting you on their shoulders. They are your biggest cheerleaders. 

Remember, like any spiritual practice, this is deeply personal. Trust your intuition and feel free to adapt or change any steps to better suit your personal beliefs and preferences. Always approach ancestral work with reverence and respect. Know that all that comes through is in the highest support for individual and collective evolution.
